Upcoming Workshop Schedule
Art On The Beach@ The Victor D'Amico Institute of Art, Amagansett, Long Island August 11-15, 2008. Originally created by legendary arts educator, Victor D’Amico, (The Museum of Modern Art) this week long teacher-training course at The Art Barge combines an education in a vacation atmosphere. Studio workshops in a converted Navy Barge and on the beach in Napeague State Park provide a stimulating, environmentally productive experience. Creative theory is put into practice as students explore painting, collage, printmaking, clay, drawing and found art constructions. These fundamental mediums will be used to discuss children’s ideas, feelings, and connections to their world. Field trips to local artists studios and guest lecturers will make this an inspiring and unforgettable experience. To register contact, Betty Westcott at SCOPE, bwestcott@scopeonline.us
